Looking for a fast, accurate secretarial service in the Thanet area of Kent? Based in Margate, we can help you with many of your secretarial needs, including letter writing, audio transcription and copy typing. Simply phone us during office hours or email us, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

To give you an idea of costs, our normal hourly rate for secretarial work is £12.50. Alternatively, we’re happy to charge by the item. For example, if you need some copy typing done from longhand, the charge is £6.00 per side of A4 paper, with a minimum charge of £12.00. A short, simple letter plus typed envelope would typically cost £15.00.

When it comes to audio transcription, we can work either from audio files or from tapes. Our minimum fee is £15 but above that, we charge £1 per minute of audio with a small discount for longer jobs. Here is a scale of charges to give you an idea of what to expect:

  • Up to 10 minutes of audio – £15
  • 30 minutes of audio – £30
  • One hour of audio – £50
  • Two hours of audio – £100

If that sounds a lot it’s because on average, one minute of audio takes at least four minutes to transcribe accurately!

In general, we usually work from home but if needed can come to you, subject to a call-out fee of £25 in the Thanet area (this can be reduced or waived altogether if you live really close by though).

We also provide an editing and writing service. Our speciality is turning technical and medical jargon into precise, readable English but we can also offer general help with wording, grammar and spelling whatever the type of material you have. Our background means that we are ideally qualified for writing company brochures, user manuals, press material or speeches, particularly if you have a difficult or technical point to get across.
